The works of artist, composer and writer Mikalojus K. Ciurlionis (1875 – 1911) have left a profound imprint and influence on modern Lithuanian culture. Famous Sculptor Alfonsas V. Ambraziunas (1933 – ) is known for the largest monument to Second World War victims in Eastern Europe, which stands in Kaunas, Lithuania.
